Unknown Genre

When I try to change or add a genre on the PMM it changes straight to "Unknown" I tried to add "Old School" but it didn't work. Is there a way around this? I'm using the latest version found on the PhatNoise web site. I wanted to purchase the Plus but I guess thats not available anymore. Man, has this company become inactive or what?!
