I gave in and purchased SSA for my kenwood music keg (converted from a phatbox).  I got the license key today but they said it will take 10 days to ship the CD with the actual SSA software.

Does anyone know if I can download this somewhere? I have a valid code but I need the SSA files.

Thanks for any help you can give!

the key will install all the files you need... the cd is just more voices

I have encountered a problem in installing SSA using Music Manager, perhaps you can help...

When I go to the "Modify Firmware Properties" and click on the "install plugin" button I am asked for my code. I enter the registration code and it is accepted.

It then says:
Install Kenwood SSA On:
"Volkswagen PhatBox Digital Media Player (most recently used)"

And that is the only opion on the pull down menu. I recently flashed my firmware to the Kenwood Music Keg instead of the VW PhatBox. Why is Media Manager only giving me the option to install on the VW Phatbox?

P.S. When I click ok to accept the install it says:
"Incompatible hardware product chosen. Please choose a different hardware product."

heh all it stores in the ID file is the serial number I think.... I doubt if you'll be able to enable the plugin that way.  I expect their database says that the serial number is for VW....  it's stored in box_id_log.txt and box_id_mru.txt (most recently used)

All it really uses on the phatbox itself is the Unique ID string...

heh that wouldn't help much since it checks that on installation to see if the plugin is authorized... but it would probably get the files downloaded
