"USB Device not recognized"
«

So I recently purchased a used PhatNoise from the series of tubes. It works great in my car (can listen to the previous person's music) but...
...when I connect the cradle to my XP computer, it says "Found new hardware" followed by "USB device unrecognized". I can't get any drives to appear and nothing shows up in disk management. Its like Windows has no idea what to do with the cradle. But it's XP, so it should already have any drivers it needs, right? The cradle is USB 2.0.
Any help would be appreciated!

Found the problem myself... The power adapter I was using must not have been beefy enough. I tried another one and it found the DMS just fine.
If people run into "USB Device not recognized" in the future, check your power supply.
