New to phatnoise

Just bought an audi with this system. Got the original disk (phatnoise Music Manager)

i have 2 questions.

1) should i bother to upgrade to Media manager, if so where can i get it and what will it cost?

2) I have been using itunes for a while and understand that i can't put purchased music on DMS, but, recently found out that many purchased tracks on itune are now "derestricted" Can i use these?

Thank you

1. Yes, you should.  Go to www.phatnoise.us and register to see the available downloads.

2. In principle, yes.  iTunes removed FairPlay copy protection from its entire library as of the end of March.  However, if you purchased any tracks prior to the protection removal, you'll have to fork over 30 cents per track to Apple to remove the protection.

You also need the AAC plugin enabled on your DMS, if it is not already installed.
