I have a 2006 Uplander with the GM Mobile Media.  The system had worked fine for 3 1/2 years, but that is no longer the case.  The system will no longer play MP3s, and when viewing the monitor, the system alternated between the GM Mobile Media start up screen, and a black screen that simply says "Phatnoise".  It seems as if the system is having problems booting.  I have taken the DMS out and hooked it up to my PC, and it seems to work fine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You may need to repair some of the system files.  Take a look at the DMS tools, to perform a 'Repair (PHTSYS)'.
