I need help. I have a 06 Chevy Uplander equipped with a Phatnoise DMS unit. I have never utilized the features of the unit. The unit does not power off. As long as the radio is powered and the unit is in the craddle, the dms continously run. Even when the DMS display is not lit up, you can hear the DMS spinning. It will run for approximate three to four minutes, stop then restart. The dealership says its the fan or normal operation but I feel they only say that because they don't have a clue.

If you are not using the PhatBox, and it is not running the correct firmware then the box gets stuck in a reboot cycle.

You either need to patch the box so that it's back up and running under normal conditions, or leave the DMS out of the unit if you never intend to use it!
