"Pause" button works faulty

Hi all!
First I want to say "HELLO" to all, as I'm a newby and this is my first question in this board. I have a problem with the pause button of my head unit. And because the search function of the board gave me no answer on this i open a new topic about it.
My problem is, if I push the pause button on my head unit, the music mutes, that's ok. but the counter still runs and the music goes on playing in the "background". I have to push the pause button twice again to hear the music again, so "unmute" the music. is this ok? i think this is not the sense of a pause button, isn't it? i don't want that the music goes on in background!
my head unit is the original cd player of a seat altea and my phatbox is in mode K.
hopefully someone can give me some questions :-/! Thanks a million and a nice day!
