the ground up? Meaning since the DMS signs everything, could someone write a new program that works almost exactly like the original?

I'm not sure it could or someone probably would have already done it because I guess the Phatnoise box itself LOOKS for something specific, correct?

I dont know if that would be required.

I posted a thread someplace today about maybe reloading the OS with our own kernel and boot loader maybe so we can use our own drives.. this would entail wiping all the existing firmware of the box and loading our own.

This would require significant effort but could be done.

The question remains then would phatd and the headunit interface be useable?
