I just got a 2007 corvette Z06 with nav. I have a sony phatbox platnum edition from about 3 years back.

Can it be done with the factory head unit and still retain XM.

I love my phatbox and want to add it to my new car.

The ideas I have had are:
1. converting my phat box to kenwood firmware and try to find a kenwood interface cable (sony is not avalible)  I dont know if this will work either or if the cable is avalible.

2. using a PIE interface. I have read a little about this, but have no idea how to make it work.

3. I realy dont want to do this, but I can use a FM modulator. needless to say this is a last resort.

You need to find out what your HU is compatible with... ie is it the same as a GM X car -- and see if you can find a PIE adaptor to "KNNSR" -- that would probably be your best bet unless that HU type is natively supported by the PhatBox
