I'm wanting to replace my Seagate 100gb hard drive for a bigger one, since the prices are pretty reasonable now. What 160gb hard drives have other people been using that works/fits nicely in the DMS cartridge? I'd really like to see a 180gb or a 200gb but I haven't seen any around.

I don't think it'll really matter as long as you make sure you get a PATA drive (not SATA).  You should try to find the lowest RPM drive you can, but I think the 160GB drives are all pretty much the same.

Why should I get the lowest RPM that I can get? All the one's I've seen seem to be at 5400rpm.

Slower drives generate less heat.  There is no air-flow inside the DMS casing.  Some 7200 rpm drives can get quite warm.  Most 5400 rpm units will be OK, but try to look up manfacturer's specs if you can and compare.  Normal "idle mode with the drive motor running" power dissipation figures are a good guide, since the drive does not get that busy.  I don't think Phatbox users have had any major issues with 5400 rpm drives though.

This one worked for me, required only minimal cutting of rubber dampers inside DMS cartridge, and was recognized fine by desktop app, Phatnoise Music Manager v.2.3

Yes, there are 200GB notebook drives, but so far only SATA.  With all the latest notebooks favoring SATA, not to mention the future trend towards larger flash-based drives, I would not expect to see any ATA drive larger than 160GB.
