Kenwood never made a USB 2.0 cradle.

Ebay auctions often advertise as 'Kenwood Keg' USB 2.0 cradle, but it's actually just a PhatNoise one.  There are no problems using a Kenwood DMS in a PhatNoise cradle, so you can buy with confidence.

OK let me list the part #...KHD-USB1

Actually it really is listed as a USB 2.0, and it is a Kenwood.
He insists it is a 2.0: check this out:

"The version is a KHD-USB1 It depends on the speed of your USB port. Most USB ports are 2.0 so yes this has the capability of being 2.0 speed depending on your computer."

So this means it's USB 2.0 because my mac has a USB 2.0 port??? Seriously!

the KHD-USB1 is a USB 1.1 interface cradle.  you can connect it to a USB 2.0 port but it will run at 1.1 speed (12 megabit max if I recall correctly or well under 1.5 megabytes a second throughput. AKA SLOW!!!!!!!!!)

Kenwood's name has (as far as I know) never appeard on the 2.0 speed cradles.

Oh I know. I already have this model!

My problem is that with the older PPC chips Mac used, there were drivers that allowed this to mount so Cameron's PhatMac program could syn c my playlists.

Now the Intels won't recognize those drivers for the cradle, so this thing's virtually unusable on my computer.  Hence the need for 2.0 (simply so it will mount!  not for speed).

Thanks for the verification guys.  Noone wants to go into accusing unless they're totally sure.
I'm going to assume it was a simple oversight, naturally, at first.
