Playlist repeats in Ford Phatbox

I have a Ford Phatbox which I installed in my F150 with a CD6 headunit. The next playlist doesn't begin after the last song of the current playlist. Instead the current playlist will just repeat. I've also noticed that the voice prompt will play before the last song on the current playlist. Let's say I have a playlist with 10 songs. After the ninth song the voice prompt will announce the current playlist name and then proceed to play the tenth song. After the tenth song the current playlist will repeat instead of advancing to the next playlist. Any ideas?

Okay, I reprogrammed the Phatbox to an earlier version of firmware (2.30) and things changed a little. Now each playlist repeats after it finishes the last song. At the end of the last song I hear the Phatnoise voice prompt tell me the current playlist and then the same playlist plays again from the start. Normally I would expect the next playlist to begin after the previous playlist ends. Any ideas?

i would guess its something in the phatbox.ini that is screwing you up like that.. have you tried getting a new one?  just rename the existing one and go into PMM and it should create a new one if i recall correctly

I've downloaded and tried both version 2 and version 3 firmware. Both behave the same way. I've looked at the Phatbox.ini files for each version and they appear to be the same for the Visteon (Ford) radio. The version 3 file has more radios included for other car manufacturers. I'm at a loss. I'd like to be able to automatically advance to the next playlist when each playlist ends.

Everything seems to work fine with the Ford Phatbox except that when one playlist ends it doesn't advance to the next playlist. Instead it just announces the current playlist and begins all over at track 1.
Any ideas?

its got to be something with the phatbox.ini because that is what tells the box what to do when changing modes or playlists or whatever.  see if you can get a phatbox.ini fresh from someone that doesn't have that problem that has your firmware.

I downloaded and unzipped the firmware again but it still will not automatically advance to the next playlist when the current playlist ends. I have a Phatbox in my Audi and BMW as well. Both of them advance to the next playlist.

Never did get an answer for this. I recently bought a larger DMS and changed the firmware through PMM and I still have the same issue. After the last song in a playlist is played it does not advance to the next playlist or artist or album, etc.

i still think its something to do with the phatbox.ini and the settings for your head unit in there.
