No sign of a PM.  Forward on the mail from PhatNoise to vortechs@blueyonder.co.uk.
Thanks.

Hi VorTechS,

I have exactly the same situation,

is there a work around available ?

Many thanks

Nic¨k

Hi VorTechS,

Any luck getting in touch with Harmon Kardon?  I have sent a few emails to a few different customer service email addresses with no response.

Is there any way to get around the AAC plug in registration process?  Is it necessary "activate" the code, or is there a way to use the plug in with out going through the activation process?

Unfortunately... I can't even try this out.  After buying the PMM upgrade, I never was not able to download the plug in before the servers went out.  I never received the activation code either.  I just have PMM 3.92, that's all.

I hope we can figure this out... I sure would like to use my AACs in the PhatBox.

If you have your original e-mail from PhatNoise then send it to me and I'll verify it... from there I can help you.

Because of royalty issues with AAC, any workaround can't be made public.....

email phatnoise@harmon.com and ask them about purchasing it... they may be able to do something for you or give it to you

And the reply was...

"The following message to <phatnoise@harmon.com> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'#5.1.0 Address rejected phatnoise@harmon.com"

Thanks for your help anyway, there's some great stuff on the forum.

The address should be:  phatnoise@harman.com (not harmon.com)

Hi there, I'm new  ;D

... but my problem isn't, as it seems...
Since I bought a Mac I upgraded to PMM Plus in March 2007 to play my AAC encoded files with the PhatBox. All seemed to go well, until I got 4 mails with 4 different activation codes... well, PMM works but the AAC plugin not. I put some AAC files on the DMS but all I get is "Need AAC decoder". I contacted PhatNoise several times by mail or even phone (from Germany...) and all I got as answer was "server down", "server issues", "within the next weeks it'll work". Today I called again and they told me the product was discontinued and I have no chance to get my AAC plugin.

I'm not happy right now...

Well, I still haven't received the AAC plugin, and since I upgraded my hard drive I need to reactivate PMM and none of those 32 activation keys do anything. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, --Dave

EDIT: Never mind. I found what I needed at phatnoise.org.
