Trying to upgrade HD in DMS
« on: September 08, 2007, 07:08:04 pm »
Hello everyone, I just purchased a phatbox for my Audi and I got it used.  I believe that the DMS has already been hacked and I just want to upgrade the 30gb drive in it to an 80gb that I had laying around.  I instlled the drive into the DMS and put it in the cradle and windows recongnized it.  I guess where I am stumped is how do I partition it and where do I go from there?

Thanks in advance,
Nick

If the box is already hacked then all you need to do is install the firmware for your headuit back onto the new drive using Phatnoise Media/Music Manager.

So you are telling me that you read the first sticky thread in the hacking forum:
http://forum.phathack.com/index.php/topic,1291.0.html
and found nothing in there that may help you prepare a new drive for use?  I find that difficult to believe.

Let me give you a hint.  Look at the buttons in the image in the first post in that thread.  See anything there that may be of interest?
