I've tried logging in and cannot. I've sent an email to both email addresses I've had on file here and I haven't got anything. I've been registered here since the beginning. I created this account "imola ghost" just so I could contact someone on here.

Here's my information.

todd1010 @ gmail dot com
todd1010 @ hotmail dot com

I believe my username was "mts" or "todd1010" either one doesn't work.

The email address on file is todd1010@hotmail.com - you should be able to use the password reset function to get back in... if that doesn't work, let me know and I'll reset it and email you a password

I've tried that email address for the password and it won't work. This has happened several times and thats why I haven't been around in a while.

Send both my username and password. For some reason it's not letting me log in at all.

Didn't get it and I checked my junk mail folder also. Can you send the information to todd1010 @ gmail dot com

sbingner

nope, I can only send it to the hotmail account that you have as your contact on that account.

Still haven't got it and I looked in the junk mail folder also. I'm not sure if this has something to do with it or not but I changed over to using gmail more and went into all of the forums I subscribe to and changed my email to the gmail account.

Do you think its possible something got messed up?

sbingner

I'll send the email from my gmail account in case hotmail is being retarded and blocking mail from me

I just dealt with this very issue of email traffic to hotmail dealing with a startup i am working on.

Hotmail sucks as a mail service and microsoft is the devil is the short version.

The long version is,

You must be using SenderID / SPF Records in DNS and register with Microsoft

You must sign up for the Junk Mail program of Microsofts

You must open a ticket with Hotmail support http://postmaster.live.com to have them unblock you at the filter.

They treat everyone like mailing lists / spam at first.

Messages that come from low traffic domains / servers will likely be dropped,
Short emails are more likely to be dropped,
Having an email address in your contact list will not mean it will deliver mail.

Hotmail will accept messages and report the message is queued for delivery but will never deliver it and not give any warnings or errors so it is impossible to troubleshoot on the sending mail server.

You can validate that this is the issue by sending a message from a hotmail mailbox to a phathack mail account and then reply.  that reply will be delivered no matter what.  A new email thread will not be delivered if it originates from a non hotmail address.

This impacts all hotmail email addresses (.com or .co.uk for example)

That's not the problem.  I tried sending from gmail as well:

Reporting-MTA: dns;imc2-s4.hotmail.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;wim1-s4.hotmail.com
Arrival-Date: Fri, 23 Nov 2007 20:30:55 GMT

Final-Recipient: rfc822;todd1010@hotmail.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.5.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

Looks like you don't HAVE that email address anymore... which means you'll have to make a new account and use that unless you can get that email address back.  I can't verify who you are beased on your gmail address, so I'm not going to give you address to the account without proper verification.

Also, I'm not going to register for anti-spam crap... if microsoft feels they can make everybody sign up to communicate with them... I don't suppose I really need to communicate with them.

It gave me a very hard time trying to log in today too.  Of course, that's likely because I didn't remember my password.

Why do you guys make it so darn complicated with capitals and symbols and such  :D
