I'm having some issues with my phatbox and I'm looking for a bit of help.
I have an audi phatbox, running 7.02, in a 2001 a4 w/stock non bose stereo. 40gb cartridge. Not hacked.
A few weeks back, after loading some music on my DMS I popped in the car as always and my headunit wouldn't recognize the player. I looked in the trunk and the box had a rapidly flashing green light. I let it sit for some time. 30 minutes? an hour? and when I came back out it was still doing it.
I called phatnoise about it, some girl actually answered, and she said to update my firmware by grabbing the stuff on the FTP site. Did that, put DMS in the player, same issue. Came here, grabbed some other firmware versions, tired it again... same issue.
Thinking that was it for my DMS I purchased another DMS off ebay, a GM 40gb DMS. Popped in to PMM, checked to see that it worked, and then deleted everything off the PHTSYS partition and copied on the audi/vw firmware. Same rapidly flashing green light.
Ran the GM firmware update on it to get it back to stock, PMM said it was working properly, and tried to pop that into my player to get it to try to flash to another firmware so I could re-flash with audi firmware. Rapidly flashing green light.
Grabbed the DMS hack tooks off the site here, ran create/update, and told it to reflash box and to not use hacked firmware. Loaded it into PMM... everything worked, program recognizes it was 7.02 audi native, save/eject, back to the player. Same flashing green light.
Repeated the process with the original DMS, same result. PMM says it's fine, synchs, recognizes it as 7.02, put it in the player and get a rapidly flashing green light.
I've done it a few times now hoping to get it to work but nothin doin.
I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here. Both DMS cartridges do it. What step did I skip?
