VW Head Unit Display

The display on my Head Unit is showing Track * Disc 1. When I change to a different play list that said play list moves to Disc 1 position. Now should the Head Unit be showing the track name (from the MP3 ID tag)? The HU detected the Phat on the install but I never paired the Phat to a specific HU, could this be the problem?
PhatNoise installed on MK5 Golf with RNS500 Sat Nav HU.

Only Kenwoods display artist/track info.  All others have to rely on the SSA voice prompts for info.
