max hard drive size?

been using my little 20 gb phatbox for years and forgot aobut it. ready to upgrade, whats the biggest size? 250GB? 500? 1TB?

are all still limited to 10000 songs?

Size is not so much the issue,  but yes - you are limited, I believe, to 10,000 playlists and 10,000 songs at best.

I'm not sure if there is any chance of this being removed.
