I just created 550 playlists under 'Audio Playlists' under 'Media Library'; one for each CD I have ripped.

I now want to move most of them to 'Audio Playlists' under ''PhatNoise DMS'.

So I expand the Media Library\Audio Playlists tree, select the first playlist, drag it down to the PhatNoise DMS\Audio Playlists tree, and release it.  Success.

Except that it takes forever to scroll past playlists #2 through #550!  At this rate, it will take me hours to copy the playlists I want.

The problem is that the Media Library and the PhatNoise DMS trees are both in the same window.  Is there any way to get the PhatNoise DMS tree represented elsewhere?

I would be satisfied if I could copy all of the Playlists to the DMS, then delete the ones I don't want there.

And God forbid I should be able to select more than one Playlist at once...

you could do a synch from the library to the DMS

InterMurph

Doesn't that just sync the files?

And even if it syncs the playlists, what if I can't fit all of my music files onto the DMS?

Thanks.

Why would you want a playlist for each album when you can play the music album by album anyway?  ???

This is mainly necessary for people without SSA or VIOT (all Sony and Kenwood users who didn't buy VIOT).

Also, I got tired of soundtracks and other multi-artist albums being split up into Artist/Album, instead of keeping everything together. So I ended up with playlists for those specific albums. But I got rid of most of my album based playlists once I got VIOT.

But yes, for most albums, it is wastefull for SSA/VIOT users.

Easy way to do this. Click on the "Audio Playlists" name on the Media Library tree, you'll see all your playlists in the right pane. Click on any playlist in right pane, then Ctrl-A to select them all (or selected ones using usual Windows Ctrl+click), then drag them all in one go to just under the PhatNoise DMS\Audio Playlists tree branch.

Voila.............

The key:  you said "in the right pane".  Those aren't playlists, they're albums.

The PhatNoise Music Manager won't let you select more than one playlist under "Media Library".

So my only alternative was to sync the entire disc, then remove the playlists I don't want.  Lame!

Sorry - I was talking about Phatnoise Media Manager. It works there....might be worth you switching as it's free?

But I still use Phatnoise Music Manager too at home and i'm sure in the past I have selected multiple playlists from the Audio Library tree and dragged them to the DMS view. I'll check over the weekend...

D'oh!  I'm using the PhatNoise Media Manager also, and I cannot select more than one playlist in the left pane under 'Media Library'.

What version of Media Manager are you running?  And how do you determine the version?  I'm stumped.

I'm using whatever the latest one is on the Phatnoise site (v3.76)

Did you do exactly what i said above? i.e.
1) Click on the "Audio Playlists" name on the Media Library tree (this is the heading branch in the tree in the left pane), you'll see all your playlists in the right pane.
2) Click on any playlist in right pane, then Ctrl-A to select them all (or selected ones using usual Windows Ctrl+click),
3) then drag them all in one go to just under the PhatNoise DMS\Audio Playlists tree branch.

It does work i promise you!

InterMurph

Ah, now that I take the time to read your actual words, I get it.  Thanks!

If you do a "sync" it will copy all of you music files & any playlists you have made.
