Phatbox is not working.....
« on: January 04, 2006, 11:37:20 am »
Hey, greets from Germany :)

...i have BIG problems with my phatbox! my changer cable was damaged and i think the pb gets an "wrong wire" (dont know how to say in english) :)
so i changed ALL Cables and tried again, now the pb is starting. the red and the green LED are on, after one or two seconds the green is off and 2 seconds later its on again. AFTER that i can hear a "click" and all LED are off :(
i can choose the pb on my headunit, but nothing happens!?

TRASH or no TRASH, thats the question  :-/

i hope someone will help me and sorry, i hope you can read my english *lol

Sounds like your phatbox does the initial powerup to verify the correct firmware, but never gets the "power up" signal from the head unit... what type of head unit do you have?  It does sound like you could have a wire disconnected

That wouldn't be a bad idea, assuming the phatbox didn't damage your head unit... are you sure all the pins on the cable are now making contact?
