Hacked VW Problem
« on: January 02, 2006, 08:06:03 pm »
I did a quick search and can find no answer to this one.  I hacked a larger drive into my Phatbox.  Whenever I start the player I must immediatley push CD select 2 in order for the phatbox to be recognized, otherwise I get the No Magazine message.  Is this normal behaviour for a hacked disk?

I used the Genesis manual procedure to setup the big disk and everything works perfectly!

One note on the genesis procedure, after alt-F3 and selecting the "fast, no block check" repartioning, all messages concerning lost data should be ignored and all repairs made.

Also, when PMM starts , I did not have a menu selection for OPTIONS->DMS.  After I selected the DMS under devices, PMM recognized that the disk needed to be initialized.  I let it load the firmware and then looked for and deleted forceupdate.
