Just saw this review and wondered if any of you guys had tried it yet to compare usability with Keg/PB?

I *THINK* that the X890 that Lloyd reviewed in this thread http://forum.phathack.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1147985035 uses the same tech as the DPX701 for USB devices...  Can't swear to it but they are both new year model heads so I think its the case.

He was not totally satisfied.

Yeah the reviewer is spot on, the menus are a pain in the ass to navigate and very confusing, the display washes out in sunlight, and it's easy to navigate files if you only have a few.

With their current generation of firmware it doesn't compare to the Keg at all.  Finding music is still very difficult and time consuming, with no logical way to navigate through your music collection.  You can individually search for any particular song or album, but it's a new search every time, as they lose all context as you begin to narrow your search down.

I actually bought a keg off ebay after wasting money on the USB drive and connection because it sucks so bad.
