So, I've been the owner of a Red Phatbox since they came out in 2001 (one of the first ordered).. Finally, it gave up and will not boot (I posted another thread on this topic "Dead Red Box") --

Anyway, I purchased a used Kenwood Keg (710) off ebay (No DMS) -- and of course, my DMS does not have a signature on it.

Is there any way to get my existing DMS to work (e.g. I need a signature please -- wink wink)? .. Or am I forced to pay the astronomical prices Phatnoise charges to get a new DMS?

see if you can get a DMS second hand that was a real DMS or borrow one from someone near by to unlock the keg so any DMS will work.

Where are you at?

Anyways, if you want to get a serial port added to the new box, I could send you a patcher that will patch it through the serial port with a jumper setting...   but it's pretty complicated, if you can find a DMS it's alot easier
