Okay,

so Pin 46 on the Maverick goes to JP3.

This pin is labeled PE[1/0]BOOTSEL[1]
it is described as GPIO Port E / Boot Mode Select

Pin 155 on the Maverick goes to JP2
Pin 155 is labeled nMEDCHG/nBROM
it is described as media change interrupt input / internal ROM boot enable

JP1 pin 1 goes to pin 4 of the cd4011BCM
JP1 pin 2 goes to pin 21 of the Xilinx 5032 chip (labeled as I/O-B12
JP1 pin 3 goes to ground

CD4011BCM
Quad 2-Input NOR Buffered B Series Gate . Quad 2-Input NAND Buffered B Series Gate
http://www.alldatasheet.co.kr/datasheet-pdf/pdf_kor/FAIRCHILD/CD4011BCM.html

The output of the CD4011BCM on Pin 6 goes to Pin 40 on the Winbond W78E516BP-40 which is labeled AD3 - P03 (this is also connected to a resistor it appears labeled 273 I THINK!  its hard to read though...

sbingner

well if we could get it to boot something else, or otherwise replace the firmware with one that dosnt check for signatures we'd be golden... all the files from phatnoise could still be used, but it wouldnt check for sigs... and any programs that did check could be re-written etc
