Is there a hack to allow more songs to a single playlist in PMM. I have a few lists that are 170-220 songs. They seem to bog down my PMM, but they still play fine in the Phatbox. It allowed me to add all the songs but if i try to move them or change their display properties (anything that requires right click) , PMM freezes. End Prog and restart PMMM fixes the problem. But as of now all my playlists are locked i can only add and delete, not move or alter in any way..... btw i have 29 playlists avg about 165-175 songs if this helps, maybe i need more cpu ram ?

timps

My various artist playlist has about 270 songs on it & I never had a problem with PMM V3.76 or if I use PMM V2.30.

Phatnoise state you can have up to 10,000 songs on a single playlist.

Try a reinstall or upgrade your PMM to a newer version.

I agree with timps.  I have quite a few playlists with 200-300 songs and no problem in PMM (2.30) or on the Phatbox.  Could be that you're using an older version of PMM, or the installation is corrupted.  So try upgrading or reinstalling.

Could also be a problem with your computer, such as low memory.

closed all my porn, completely wiped the DMS upgraded the firmware to VW 7.00 and it still wont allow me to right click, even if i only have one song/disk on the entire DMS. After the initial Hack i had full control over the DMS. The files/hack degraded themselves some way or something cuzz nothing changed and i lost control. The firmware upgrade did not fix it. Ill try Kenwood firmware also, but please HELP !!!

btw i have 512mb ddr, 3.06 ghz, it shouldnt be a problem....

Changing the firmware is not going to affect how the DMS behaves on your computer.  And the hack does not "degrade."

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling whichever version of PMM you are using?

Also, try to access files on the DMS drive via Windows Explorer.  If you get lockups there, then it's certainly a hardware problem.  The drive could be failing.

I have the same problem I have 60 gig of music in flac format and it can take 5 minutes for the play list to appear in PMM. All of the software is the latest version and my computer is up to spec.

I can access the drives fine from windows. The only problem is i cant drag files from my hd to the DMS like i could in the past. I will try the unistall again, damn i hope this drive isnt failing...

proud to anounce my drive is 100% working order. I can even use it as a external hd as i did in the past. I still havnt got it to be recognized as a kenwood though. maybe once i can get it to a faster lan i can get some new firmware. thanks guys
