Hi,

The DMS is the cartridge containing a 2.5 inch hard disk drive which the Phatnoise products use to hold the audio files and software.  These are the same types of hard drives that are used in notebook PCs.

A lot of the stuff on this form is related to allowing users to fit bigger disk drives to store more music.  Due to the software protection mechanisms that the Phatbox uses, there are some hacks that need to be applied to the Phatbox for this to be possible.  See this part of the forum for info.

I think what you mean is that your Kenwood stereo came with Phatnoise software.  That is to be used for creating MP3 CDs or organizing MP3s on a USB drive, so they will function properly with the ACDrive feature of the Kenwood.

Is that what you mean?  If so, you are not missing the DMS or any other part.  If you mean something else, try to be exact.
