Title: Hardwiring your serial cable to Phatbox?

I've searched, and no results.  Has hardwiring the serial cable to the Phatbox been done before?  If so, can a link of a how-to/DIY be provided?  Thanks, in advance.

I'm making an assumption that when you say serial cable you are refering to an RS-232 style serial comms link, rather than the CD changer... yes..?

I'm actually referring to hardwiring the black cable, that plugs into the rear of the phatbox.

you must be talking about a really old red box?

You mean hardwiring the main cd changer cable?  ... just match the pins then, it's different for different head units
