Hi All
new to this site
Just got my USB Cradle up and running ! (DMS-USB2 rev ) ;D
but when i try to connect to my new pc .....NOTHING (Cradle not recognised by the USB ) USING VISTA
Works fine on my friends pc ( he has windows XP) :-\
Is the a fix for this problem ? ???
thanks in advance
Simple fix, format your hard drive and install XP
You might want to try using a different USB controller.
i.e. install a new USB card into the PC (make sure it has a different chipset to the ones already onboard) and then use that to plug into.
hi
thanks for your replies
is this the easies way ?
no fix or patch file can be loaded onto vista ?
thanks
You don't actually LIKE Vista, do you?
I really don't know what you'd have to do to make it work in vista... but others seem to indicate it worked in vista for them...
I have the same problem on my Vista Business PC. My laptop is a Lenovo T500.
The PC detect the cradle but it never issues a drive letter for it.
Have you found a solution for your problem?

I also have a similar issue. I have Vista home premium and when i plug the Phatnoise in with the DMS in, it searchs for drivers but never finds one. The red light comes on but the green light never comes on, not even a flicker. I am using usb cradle 2.0.

I figured out my issue on another forum. The included power supply was not enough to power the DMS. It was only 9v PS and i plugged in a 12v and it worked like a charm!
Actually I found out something else. If I connect the cradle prior to installing the Phatnoise Media Manager then the drives are detected correctly. After installing PMM, the drives no longer show up. There must be something with PMM.
