Title: PhatNoise software, written in a crackhouse?
Post by: VorTechS on October 09, 2007, 04:19:41 PM
[anti-phatnoise mode]

Okay... I'm getting tired of looking into all this database generation stuff.

I swear though, whoever designed all these custom .DB and IDX files must have been on some kind of mind altering drugs!
What a complete abuse of files!  No wonder the software is so freakin' slow!

(I'm just about getting to the bottom of it, very very slowly)

Oh, I had a good root around my core PhatNoise database (the one that's written using SQLite) and it's screwed.
So in turn are my VIOT files.  In fact, not to put too fine a point on it, the whole thing is a complete mess.

How the box even works under the circumstances astounds me - but I think I have an answer to the null file references in my phatbox logs.

[/anti-phatnoise mode]

There's no wonder they are not doing anything with PhatNoise Media Manager anymore!

:D
