Title: No VOIT after Kenwood Keg hack

Hi Everyone -
I have two Kenwood Kegs. I applied the hack to both kegs and both play the new DMS.
I had VOIT installed on both kegs but after the hack only one of the kegs still operates with VOIT. I deleted plugins.dat. On bootup the plugins.dat file is created as expected but  VOIT is still missing.

Can anyone help??

When you created the new DMS, did you copy the Kenwood SSA plugin onto them?

Hi VORTECHS
The DMS I used for the hack already had the SSA plugin installed. Once I created the hack DMS I did not copy anything else onto it, I immediately applied the hack to both kegs. I was so elated that the hack worked I only realized later that VOIT was only now working on one keg. By the way VOIT is working on the second keg I hacked.

I tried to re-install the plugin but the Phatnoise site is down:)

Hope this makes sense.

The DMS houses all plugins, not the PhatBox/Keg.

For the DMS that's not working, check PHTSYS\Plugins\Kenwood SSA exists.
If not, then copy it from the working DMS (and delete plugins.dat).

If it does, do the above anyway.

Hi VorTechS,
Just an fyi - BOTH DMSs work with VOIT in the second keg I hacked. BOTH don't work in the first keg hacked!

Like he said, remove plugins.dat and put it in the one that doesn't work

Also does the first Keg have up-to-date firmware?

Also, which one is activated for VIOT?  Or do you have the modified aadec?  If they both have the SN of the phatbox that works, and you have original aadec... that would be expected behavior

I did that. The plugins.dat file was re-created as expected but still no VOIT :(

No I haven't updated the firmware for a # of years now. I will do this and let you know.

Use the new hack tools, but DONT check the option 'Insall non-hacked firmware' and DO check the install VIOT option.
