My Windows Vista Laptop will not recognize my DMS cradle when I plug it into the USB Port. Anything I can do to work around this???
My Media Manager software only has Microsoft Sam for a voice prompt. Cant stand Microsoft Sam. How do I add more voices??
Thanks...
I think you probably have the USB 1.1 cradle right? I think someone posted some hacked vista capable drivers for it on here some place. do a search for vista driver and see if you can find them.
also you'll need to get a speech engine that isn't the sucky one from microsoft. theres AT&T Natural Voices and a few others out there (scanspeak etc) so do some research on these forums and you'll find some answers.
Yes, I have the USB 1.1 cradle. Could not find any hacked Vista capable drivers. I have an XP Desk Top Computer, I guess I'll just use that. Thanks anyway judb . Why doesn't Microsoft issue a simple download to add more speech engines? That would work for me.
I think there may be Vista x86 drivers... but not x86_64 - so if you have 64-bit you'll need to find a USB 2.0 cradle or stick with XP (vista sucks blah blah blah vista is the devil)
Where would I find the Vista x86 drivers?? Thanks...
Hmm I don't actually see that either. I could have been wrong about that.
Was it the PhatHack drivers that I released that worked under Vista?
I can't remember if I tested them under Vista or not....
