Biggest reason: So you can replace your hard drive in your DMS with another drive when it dies.

And you get one of these drives, pry open the case and you ready to rock and roll? Has or will there ever be a way to make the unite multimedia? like being able to put movies on? This for the music keg, I know it has album pictures but I cant get them to show up on my kenwood in dash screen

Not possible to have it do video -- the processor is too slow for that
