With the knowledge of this board, I have just upgraded my DMS from 40gb, 60gb, 100gb. This new Seagate Momentus 4200.2 100gb is very quiet. The Toshiba is a very noisy drive at 7200rpm. My original DMS is a fujitsu MHT2040AT 40gb. I'm keeping it for a rainy day.
For me, Vista and PMM and Phat Hack Tools dont play well together. Vista would often lock up when I tried to transfer files from PMM to the DMS. Phat Hack Tools and PMM work really well in winxp. I'm currently dual booted. I even got Vista and Winxp to play well with each other.
I figured out how to do playlists quicker, seeing that I had over 500 to make. (I know only 500, what a wuse!!) It was as simple as going into the Media Library and selecting artist, genre, album, etc., (just a few items or your whole library) and right clicking and choosing the option to make one playlist or one playlist for each item. This method is probably well known, but I jst found out about it so it works great for me. Thanks to all and especially the man the myth, the Vortech!!! ;D
Hmmmm, never noticed that option in my playing with PhatNoise MM but I rapidly got annoyed with it given it shafted my HU text display, and when I subsequently looked my tags too....
But it's one I'll have to think about for a future version of PhatMM (probably 0.9a, unless I get bored and code it in now)....

....which I did get bored, and I did code it in. And I made it so that you can do this lots and lots of times, and only the media not already added gets added to the playlist.
Obviously if the playlist doesn't exist, it's created.
Coming to v0.9 when I get a default skin designed for it....a process I'd dearly love to offload to someone else...! ;)
