Title: PMM 3.92 copies all files on sync
Post by: zoltar on November 11, 2008, 09:36:40 PM
I added few new files to my collection. PMM detects them OK, but when I click on sync it copies ALL files.  ???
Anyone has the similar problems? I'm using USB 1.1, so 22GB takes forever.

Anyone  ???

I've experienced the same issue, anyone have same issue or fix/workaround?

This is on a computer that was previously synced?

It should show new files as italics and copy those...  it WILL always regenerate a lot of voice data, which does take forecer and I haven't found a way around that.  Perhaps you're seeing it copy all those and thinking it's all the rest of the music?

Not sure anymore, but I was wondering if using a sync software like Microsoft SyncToy would work.  So I mean sync the music on my computer with the Phatnoise drive, and then in PMM, re-create/refresh the Phatnoise drive's database/voicetags.

I suspect that would take just as long

You could use VorTechS's PhatHack Media Manager though, I believe...

PhatHack Media Manager doesn't have an automatic synch process, so yes you could use my application.
I am considering unleashing v0.9c on the world soon, so volunteers for testing are always welcome... ;)

Sure, I'll try it out..   But I think my DMS or box might be messed up - keep getting "cd-x no magazine".  Let me fix that first.
