Hello,

i have following:

the phatbox
the audi adapter

http://adapterexpert.com/CD-Wechsler-Adapter-mini-ISO-auf-MOST-VAG_c171_p4268_x2.htm (needed for the new BNS 5.0 navi)

This cable has one http://adapterexpert.com/CD-Wechslerkabel--13pol_c171_p4280_x2.htm single cable....what is this for?


Has someone a tutorial for connecting the phatbox to an BNS5.0?

could it be that i have to connect this single wire to ground?

I didn't do anything with this wire on my VW install and it worked just fine. I'm not sure you need to do anything with this wire. Black is an odd color also because Ground in VW/Audi is always Brown but that may be different with an aftermarket cable.
