Title: DMS Files Missing.
Post by: phattymatty on September 16, 2005, 09:01:40 PM
Ok , I'm a super noob to this DMS hacking so bare with me. My DMS has always been buggy booting up. I'd usually have to insert my cartridge 5-6 times for the Phatnoise software to pop up, really annoying!!! So, I defragged the drive for the hell of it and now all my system files are missing. What can I do? I don't understand the boot disk reinstall proceedures. Can anybody help a noob out?  :'(

You likley need to chkdsk your drive (filesystem damage / corruption) and then reload the firmware onto the drive and remove the firmwareupdate file it adds.

Also I moved this to the support forums...

go into PMM and with the dms inserted you will find it under options... due to several versions of PMM having alternate ways of locating the various menus I can't say for sure exactly where it is, but go to options its there someplace. ;)
