Title: is this right?
Post by: Phatboy on October 04, 2005, 11:13:56 AM
I sent an email to phatnoise and tthey have told me to reformat the PHTSYS partition.... do I really want to do this? on their website it says not to reformat this part of the drive?
this is the reply:

Hello Jason,

Please delete all the files in the following directory:

C:\Program Files\PhatNoise Music Manager\Devices\PhatBox\files

Format the PHTSYS partition ONLY according the instructions in this

link:

http://www.phatnoise.com/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=77&c=10

Then you should run the firmware wizard and update the PhatBox:

Best regards,

you can format the partitions, just not repartition them.  Changing the partition table will corrupt the DMS beyond repair and you'll have to send it to phatnoise to get it fixed.

ah right cheers... it seems to be working now without reformatting any of them, just deleting the files and doing the firmware again... ill see how long it lasts this time.....
