Title: Prevent" blippp" when switch to track mode
Post by: twitti on January 31, 2006, 02:29:51 PM
Does anybody know how to prevent the "blipp" and of course a silent gap when the box switch from playlist-artist-etc.-mode to track mode ?
Thats annoying.

BE SURE TO BACKUP FIRST

This is how I did it on an Audi box

You have to modify the phatbox ini file on the phatsys directory of your dms.  You have to modify the lines specifically for your radio type
and remove the line

=/dos/tts/beep3.wav

at every instance  you want  the blip to be removed including different beep numbers.
e.g

audioid.3.0=/dos/tts/beep3.wav
audioid.3.1=TITLE_TITLE
audioid.3.2=PLAYLIST
audioid.3.3=ARTIST
audioid.3.4=ALBUM
audioid.3.5=GENRE

Becomes

audioid.3.0=TITLE_TITLE
audioid.3.1=PLAYLIST
audioid.3.2=ARTIST
audioid.3.3=ALBUM
audioid.3.4=GENRE

But keep the numbers after the decimal point in order no gaps (0 to 5 becomes 0 to 4)
As for the time just alter the number after the wait command

e.g
audioid.0.9=WAIT 0.1

If it goes wrong revert to you back up & start again.

If you did not back up or if you completely screw up please don't blame me as my wife tells me I don't know what I am talking about and my advice should be taken with a pinch of salt.
