Title: Corrupt Track
Post by: Kat_Daddy on May 21, 2006, 12:11:26 PM
I get random corrupt track messages while the DMS is in the car. It doesnt happen everytime on the same song. Anbd even when i get the message the track plays as normal. How do i disable the corrupt track message?

I too...am in the same situation.  I tried formating the DMS, regenerate voicees, this all started happening after the last PhatNoise media manager upgrade.  I don't know what to try next.

Can you explain further what you mean by this? I have this happen frequently and unclear if the track is not on the dms because it is corrupt or it is a "false" message. It would be nice to make it go away.

for every sound played by the keg there is a wave file on the DMS somewhere... should be able to just delete the wave that says "corrupt track" then it won't be able to play that message

otherwise, you can look in the logs somewhere on PHTSYS and find where it says what file it couldn't play... I never really paid much attention to it

I solved the problem which was due to non-standard and non-supprted bit rates. Once I re-encoded the tracks to standard supported bit rates the "corrupt Track" announcements stopped.

I can confirm this, gti03.  Some of my tracks are encoded at high WMA bit rates, and these give me the most problems.  Corrupt track messages, and random noise.  I will have to reencode these.

I may also take out the corrupt track wave just for the heck of it.
