Title: FS: Non-working 20 GB DMS cartridge
Post by: gnosis on June 05, 2006, 11:16:07 PM
Bought new, used for just a couple of months old, then it stopped working.  My guess is that the HD died, so if you're looking to hack one for cheap, this is it.
Selling as-is, no returns.

$40 OBO

It costs a bit more, but some of us have bought the parts new and added our own hard disk...

Postage costs will be higher if you are in Europe of course.

Thanks,

I bought an 80 gig drive off ebay for $45.00 so im good to go.

I was curious to see what had failed in this and well, other units if i can find them as well. turns out that this DMS seems to have gotten wet and corroded inside, several IC's went up in smoke and the interface board is corroded. I had to run the parts through the ultrasonic cleaner to be usable. But were good now!
