lol you would only corrupt your ramdisk if the box DOESN'T boot...
Run the program to copy the hack to the DMS again, I suspect your profiles.ini didn't get overwritten or something (DMShack.bat I think)
When it completes you should hear a sound telling you so, until then you should not hear sound since it's the startup sound... Did you read the Wiki page?

C:\dmsutils>
Checking profiles.ini we can found inside it:
[Default]
num_discs=30
startup_sound=/dos/Music/flactemp.flac
pattern=$TITLE$ - $ARTIST$
album_seek=alpha
[profiles]
active_profile=Default
enable_special_discs=1
enable_voice_prompts=0
num_discs=30
[product]
product_name=PhatNoise Media Manager
product_version=3, 5, 1, 0

I was able to find PHTSYS/Music/flactemp.flac, but....
Nothing happens! There's no voice at all, no log, nothing..!
Question: How can I know if the "firmware" that need to be burned IS in the DMS?
Thanks for everything guys...
