Please help
« on: December 26, 2006, 09:30:17 pm »
Okay, I installed the new HD, did the DMS Hack.  The new drive is partially working now.  The playlist name just keeps repeating (looping).  That's as far as I can get.  I've tried updating the new HD twice now, but cannot get it to work fully.  Any ideas?

I'm still having trouble with my 2005 VW Passat PB.  I've completed the patch process and hacked the 160G Seagate HD.  The PhatBox recognizes the new DMS, but it won't play any music.  It will play the playlist name, artist name, genre, and album.  That's all it will play and it keeps repeating.  I've tried several times starting the whole process from scratch with the same results.  I'm at my wits end and really don't know what to do from here.  Any suggestions or help anybody can offer?  I've also tried renaming the bootload.log to bootload.bak.log and I've also tried deleting it alltogether.  Please help, somebody, anybody.  Thanks!

Really sounds like a problem with what you're loading on the DMS more than an actual problem with the hack or cartridge...

You're absolutely right.  I've ripped all of my cd's at WMA lossless.  Aparently PhatNoise doesn't like that.  It's been so long since I've used the PMM.  I have everything on my 20G as WMA, but not lossless.  Since I got the 160G, I thought I'd rip everything to lossless...no worky.  I guess I'll rip all of my cd's to mp3 320kbps instead.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!!
