Head unit won't work with semi-hacked MusicKeg attached.
« on: June 17, 2008, 11:29:06 pm »
I was disappointed to discover that the Kenwood MusicKeg did not browse by artist, album, etc., like my son's PhatBox, so I tried hacking it with the DMS Tools and adding that feature.  The hacking process appeared to work, but since then my head unit will not operate properly with the MusicKeg attached.  The tuner function appears to work, but no sound is produced.  When I switch to the MusicKeg, it recognizes it as a changer, then the display switches to AUX and nothing happens.

If I disconnect the MusicKeg from the head unit, the head unit functions normally.

I have tried to reflash the MusicKeg using the DMS Tools, but nothing happens.  The MusicKeg continually flashes its light when connected.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Bob
