Flashing red light - Phatbox not recognised
« on: August 13, 2008, 01:22:26 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to install a phatbox into n Audi A4 with a Concert II cd player. The red light blinks every 3/4 seconds and thats all the thing does. I have left it for 30 minutes in case it was updating the firmware but still no joy.

The unit shows No CDC so I guess it is not picking up the phatbox.

I have updated the FW (non hacked) using phathack DMS tools.

Please can someone help me get this thing working.

Don't know if it means much but the error_log.txt shows the following : CORRUPT_FILE: .loop CORRUPT_FILE: .loop CORRUPT_FILE: .

Also the disk does not sound as if it is spinning in the phatbox. The HDD works fine and shows no disc errors when connected to the PC via USB.

Thanks.

Problem solved, the cd changer cable to the boot needed earthing.
