Audi DMS help
« on: September 02, 2005, 04:56:10 pm »
Having real problems with the DMS upgrade

I have an Audi Phatbox  :-X

I have tried the script method and the CD Method to no avail.

The problem is flashing the box

with the CD  I get nothing no logs not a toddle, and the box plays silence; with the script I get a stuttering box, with logs being formed which when I come to open them I get told that the file is corrupt.  If I do a chkdsk I get garbage from the file.

I have once had a recoverable file that just said waiting at step 1 ( i think it was when I had put a null file in the phatpatch.log it wrote some sense to it).

any suggestions?

I have managed to rescue a log file

Here it is
PhatPatch v0.2 -bushing
first 2 words of flash=c102 0025
writing auto-id command (AA, 55, 90)
Flash chip reports manufacturer id=c102, device id=0025
Resetting flash.
Testing patch locations:
Patch 1 @ 0bb8: make drive signature check always succeed: [bne verify_sig_failed -> bne PC+1]
Expected: 0033 1a00    Actual: 0033 1a00
Match! Programming...
Waiting...
Waiting...
Waiting...
Waiting...
Waiting...
Waiting...

and then there is 7Mb of waiting

Any further help??

I'm in the same boat.I got no logs the first time around and the same studder. If you are using the script the first playlist will be silent then it will go to the next playlist and the song will studder for about 30 seconds and play as normal. If you look at my post "at my wits end" the logs you show are similar to mine and I was told the patch was successful.
