Audi RNS-E Sat Nav unit with Kenwood Keg ?
« on: March 08, 2011, 08:50:18 pm »
Hi,
I'm getting an RNS-E Sat Nav unit fitted to my new Audi, and wondered what is possible with regards my Kenwood Keg.

I have the 40gb Kenwood 710 version.

Will I need to reflash the firmware for the Audi headunit to recognise it?  Is the RNS-E Double Din head unit compatible?

Does anyone have any advice as to what cable I would need?

Thanks in advance

Cheers, Lee

As far as the Keg goes, so long as the Headunit is compatible with the PhatBox and you have the correct cables, then yes you will need to reflash the box with the correct firmware.

I'm afraid I know nothing on Audi's and the Phatbox, if no-one here gives you any information have a look over at http://audisrs.com, which I've been too for some support issues before now!  You may well get a better answer....
