My CX910 is dead
« on: March 22, 2006, 09:29:27 am »
I have bought a new KDC-W707 for my CX910, that it worked perfectly before my old headunit was stolen, but now the Keg doesn't work anymore. No red led, no green led: nothing.  :'(
I can only hear a little noise from it.. but the DMS works perfectly on my PC.
What could it be? It is possible that it was broken during the theft, simply unplugging the cable? It would seem strange.  :-?
However, how could I try to reactivate it?  There is perhaps some fuse in the inside? There's some sort of procedure to reset it? (The unit was been detached for 3 weeks)

Many thanks for every reply  :-/

In my experience they're very tough little boxes... I'd reccoemnd opening it up and making sure the IDE cable is seated properly, that's the most common problem

Maybe the plug/cable was damaged/snagged at the head unit end when the old head unit was nicked?

Thieves not being generally known for their careful unplugging of stuff.

All right, after several attempts at the workshop, the system has resumed his work!!  :D :D
I cannot explain well what was the problem, probably the Keg did not succeed to receive the ignition signal.  :-?

However... thanks for the many answers!
