« on: April 08, 2006, 06:33:57 am »
i have a kenwood khd-c710. with a dead 10 gb hard drive... i can read the first 12% of the drive and nothing else. i did the dd signature copy to a working 40gb hard drive but it still won't work. boot log

BOOT0-0: OK
BOOT0-1: OK
BOOT0-2: Failed

can you please give me some pointers on how to get this thing working? it powers up the green light flashes 4 times and then continuous.... powers down then starts over and over.

thanks steve

For the new drive to work in the Keg, the Keg must be patched.  To do that you need a working original DMS.
Kenwood DNX7200/Kenwood KHD-C710 Keg/320GB DMS

Find somebody with a good DMS to patch your box is the simplest answer

Otherwise there are VERY complicated solutions that require you making a serial cable and having a computer running linux which are not really documented anywhere :)
