Advice needed please - VW Phatbox hacking
« on: February 09, 2008, 08:51:21 pm »
I'm having trouble hacking my Phatbox and original DMS. As per the instructions I backup and hack the DMS - everything appears good. I put the DMS in my Phatbox and turn on the stereo but music plays instead of silence. I put the DMS back in the cradle - there's a patch.log file but no patchverify.log file. The bootload.log file verifies that everything started correctly. I've tried this a few times now with the same results.

Can anyone help please?

The patch.log file shows:

A few PhatBox's exhibit this problem.  I have another version of the tools that you can use to get round this problem, but it's alpha and only verified as working by one of the many people who volunteered to test it.

Send me an e-mail address and I'll forward the new version of the tools on to you.
Kenwood KDC-W7031 | Kenwood KHD-CX910 | 250GB DMS | PhatHack Media Manager v1.1.4 (Alpha) | VIOT

Catch me weekdays 8am-4pm GMT on IRC @ irc.freenode.net on channel #phathack (aka the chat link!!)

According to the logs, your box is completely patched.  You don't need to do anything else.
