well, the mp3 decoder on the phatbox would have to be modified (recompiled) with support for that. I doubt theres a hardware limitation that would make it not work if the software supported it..
The trick is, the nmp3 player that phatnoise provides does more than just mp3 playback I think. We'd have to add that support into whatever new mp3 decoder we replaced it with.
